Rehoboth Beach for the Day!
This past weekend a friend of mine and I took our second annual trip to Rehoboth Beach. Thinking on it, it should happen more than just annually because it took us only 2.5 hours to get there and we spent almost nothing on the trip! Unfortunately looking at my calendar, another day trip just might have to wait until next summer.
We left at 7:30 and were parked and on the beach by 10:00. One note to make is that parking is only 30 minutes so I recommend circling a few times to find a spot right near the boardwalk so you and whoever you're with can take turns paying the meter.
First, we of course wanted some pictures to commemorate the day.
After we looked nice in pictures it was time for top-buns, hats, and laying out in the sun. We went from glamorous to not in about 3 seconds.
At about 11:00 on one of my meter runs I grabbed us Thrasher's French Fries. It's a MUST when you go to Rehoboth and they are made fresh to order and served with salt and malt vinegar. Because we were saving our appetite for dinner we split a medium order (still huge) and a diet coke.
I was able to last in the sun until about 2:00 (I'm extremely fair skin so I make sure not to push my limits when it comes to laying out) and then we packed up our stuff and head to our favorite restaurant for Lobster Rolls and Scallops.
The last stop on our journey was the Vineyard Vines OUTLET. There are only a few of them in the country and Rehoboth Beach is one of them. For once in my life I actually didn't buy anything!!! It was tempting but with all of the traveling I've been doing I need to be a tad more fiscally responsible.
It was a perfect day, with perfect weather, and led me into a CRAZY week relaxed and ready to go.
