Hello! My name is Haley Ashcom and I am the Workaholic Wanderlusting Woman. The idea for the name of this blog came from my inextinguishable passion for work, travel, and life in general. Starting in 2017 I will have the opportunity to visit all 50 states of the United States of America and I hope to share my adventures with you as I learn about "real" America through meeting new people, trying new food, and visiting the places that constitute "every day America."
In between those trips I will share a little bit about lifestyle, a little bit about work, and A LOT about navigating my way through this journey we all call life.
Pittsburgh born and I raised, I moved to Washington, D.C. for my undergraduate degree at George Mason University and realizing that D.C. was my kind of place I stayed for my Master's Degree at The Institute of World Politics. Since graduating with my M.A. in May 2016 I have moved into my own little, cozy NW Washington studio apartment that I now call home. I work full-time for an agency in the area and enjoy all things D.C. to include brunches, happy hours, and walking everywhere I possibly can.
"The purpose of this life is not simply to endure it, but to soar, stumble, and flourish as you learn to fall in love with existence. We were born to live, my dear, not simply exist." - Becca Lee
