I just HAD to write a quick post about the delightful afternoon I had at Stone Tower Winery yesterday! It's a winery I have been dying to visit because of how gorgeous it looks in photos so Marisa, Rosie, and I planned an afternoon.
Unfortunately the weather was rainy and cold, but that didn't stop us from enjoying two bottles of Cabernet Franc and gossiping the afternoon away.
The winery is only about an hour outside of D.C. and sits on acres upon acres of land. There are a few different areas to enjoy yourself. The first is the barn, which is right where you park upon arrival. There are two floors of seating inside (with tastings on the bottom floor). and a huge patio area where you can bring a picnic, pets, and children.
A 3 minute walk from that is a huge venue used for weddings, showers, and just a good old-fashioned adult time. There are not pets or children allowed and there are 2 floors of seating inside along with a beautiful porch/deck outside.
Regardless of which of those two you choose you have stunning views of the vineyard, fall foliage (at this time of year, of course) and mountains in the back. As you can see in our photos, it was extremely Instagram worthy.
I also wanted to quickly point out the shoes I'm wearing because I picked them up last week and consider them a new fall staple. They're a cute little burgundy velvet flat from Target and I can't wait to pair them with just about everything.
If you saw my Instagram story today is my first professional photo shoot and I absolutely cannot wait. Stay tuned for pictures, and if you're in the DC area make sure to check out Stone Tower Winery!
